Karen Marie Moning has done a brilliant job of weaving an intricate, enticing story that is getting better and more convoluted with every installment. She is learning the ways of this world, getting smarter and coming out of her pink and pastel cocoon. Just because you’re going along voluntaril So I’m apparently the only one who thought the first one was sexist and that the love interest was an ass.
Her characters are so vivid, so real, so believable. How does she run into the Sidhe-Seers? Romance is terribly overrated.

I’m either going to kill Barrons sooner or later, or do very, very, very naughty things to him. It would be funny once but I think the novelty would wear off extremely quickly. He tries my nerves a bit in this book Barrons’ agenda is a complete mystery, the only thing for sure is that he has one. For the next decade, she worked in insurance, where she wrote intercompany arbitrations and directed commercial litigation.
It’s fast-paced, it’s entertaining, it’s addictive. So many of my friends love this series, and there were elements in that first book that were good, so I’m willing to give this second one a try I don’t want to know, wait, yeah I do.

The feminist in me actually wanted to watch this book monin the tattoo part, HELL NO but my other self who don’t really care about anything really liked it. I’d like for the reveal of Barrons to play out naturally as the author intended. The mystery, though, is still there picking away at my brain cells. I mean … I’m just not really interested in the whole mystical faeish warish stuff. The glossary is included to help readers follow along with the terminology included in the book.
I’m not I was harsh on the first book in this series and I read that everyone loved these books, so I figured I would give the series another chance and continue it. Woman you really need to cut some of the blah blah blah crap, it just cost your book’s rating half a star.
I’m just about ready for her to tell everyone to “stop fighting and play nice,” at which point I’ll roll my eyes and make a frustrated gurgle of sounds and throw the book.
